Hi Team,
What is the minimum delay for Wireless network ? (Between Wireless user and WLC)
Is it less than 1ms ?

Hello,
delay with regard to what ? Authentication ?
04-19-2018 08:06 PM
Actually it is not authentication. Time to time users complain the slowness of the Wifi network. So when we do the ICMP test to WLC from wireless device(Laptop) it varied around 1ms to 4ms. Sometimes it goes to more than 100ms.

Thanks Joseph.
Do we have tool to check wireless congestion and wired congestion ?

You could.
I would look into your wireless environment first. Also forgot to mention, with wireless, delay could also be caused by issues in the RF environment too.
Wireless is a subject in itself. There's many potential issues that can slow it down, unique to it. Remember it's shared bandwidth, like Ethernet hubs. (I.e. more clients or busy clients will often "slow" wireless.) Interference in the RF environment will slow clients. (NB: anything that generate RF in the same frequency can cause issues. For example, possibly someone using a microwave in a break room.) Third, different slower "speed" clients may slow faster "speed" clients. (I.e. a wireless device that only supports an older wireless standard can slow devices using newer wireless standards.)

Thank you Joseph,
I will look into those points as you highlighted

Hi,
There is no correct map for it. It depends on many factors but the main is your network optimization and wireless configuration, Wireless bandwidth rate, Wireless congestion, Wired congestion and Wired Switching latency.

Hi Deepak,
Thank you for reply.
Do we have any tools for measures for those factors ?

Hi,
There is no single tool for that one, You can use Wireless Analyser, PRTG, Spiceworks connectivity dashboard, NetFlow etc.

Thank you Rasmus,
I will monitor the capwap link latency as you mention

I enabled capwap link latency for AP, now I want to monitor/see it. How to do that ? Any graph we can see ?

Is there any specific value for Latency, which indicate is Capwap link in good health ?
