Hi,
I have a customer that have 3 routers 7600, and the behavior of mls cef is different in the 3 boxes.
In one of this boxes they have one BGP full routing in ipv4 and another full BGP in one VRF, and they have this:
sh mls cef summ
Total routes: 864164
IPv4 unicast routes: 562910
IPv4 Multicast routes: 3
MPLS routes: 301249
IPv6 unicast routes: 2
IPv6 multicast routes: 0
EoM routes: 0
sh mls cef maximum-routes
FIB TCAM maximum routes :
=======================
Current :-
-------
IPv4 - 550k
MPLS - 372k
IPv6 + IP Multicast - 48k (default)
User configured :-
---------------
IPv4 - 606k
MPLS - 333k
IPv6 + IP multicast - 40k (default)
Upon reboot :-
-----------
IPv4 - 550k
MPLS - 372k
IPv6 + IP multicast - 48k (default)
Recently our customer change the configuration in order to gain some space in the hardware, but I need help to understand how to predict the amount of mls entries that the box can reach (the max is 1007000 hardware entries, they have 3BXL) in special to know if our customer must change this box for another one, like a CRS-1 or GSR.
Thanks a Lot for your help
