Hi All,

Please let me know the difference between modular uplink and fixed uplink?.

Also, let me know how many uplink ports available in C9300-24T?

Hello,

a modular uplink basically is an external module that you can insert into the 9300 (typically 10 or 40 Gigabit). Have a look at the link below.

A fixed uplink is a built-in port that you cannot remove.

Modular Uplink -- Means you need to buy a Module for the uplink - look at below order guide : (section network Module)

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/catalyst-9300-series-switches/nb-06-cat9300-ser-data-sheet-cte-en.html#Orderinginformation

Fixed uplink  - This is fixed come with the Switch (based on the order), this can not be removed to as like Module.

Hello,

I see the fixed uplink is mentioned as 4x1fixed uplinks for c9300L. It means the port will be fixed but will it be RJ45 out or fiber out?

According to datasheet

Believe they are SFP or SFP+ ports.

Hello, Yes thanks for your reply. I agree with you and it must be of SFP/SFP+ ports.

Is there any SFP compatibility check or recommended compatible 1G SFP fiber transreceiver part number where I can check for whether it will work with C9300-24P switch.
