I need to find out how I can monitor separate switches in a 3750 stack.
Currently I am using an ip address on the switch which is telling me if the stack is up.
I need to find out if possible how I could identify if a switch in a stack goes down.
What I need to do is assign a managemnet IP to each switch in the stack.
Is this possible?

"sh switch" command will give you result for your first three questions..You can't assign a separate management ip to each switch of stack.

Try using Cisco monitoring tools e:g Cisco works which could pick up SNMP traps from the switch

Don't know why you want to do this. This simply defeats the Stackwise feature.
What you are trying to do is an archaic method that was used with the Gigastacking GBIC.

This is not possible. Each stack switch ask as one.

Thanks for all the replies, my issue was I am using Solarwinds Orion to monitor our environment and looking at a stack I would not be aware of any particular switch going down.
I have now found I can monitor the stack ports and thus be alerted if any particular switch fails.
