Hello everyone, i was configuring mstp in my home lab with catalyst 2950s and a 3550 in the mix total of 4 switches. So i configure the instance 1 with its vlans. The four switches were configure on mode mstp but when i was checking who was the root bridge sw2 and sw3 were showing as root but on sw3 one port was blocking so i am clueless why is this? I did some research and the it could be a compatability issue because i am using legacy switches. I would to hear from you guys. I did configure inst 1 on all switches with vlan 5 in that instance. I was able to ping devices in vlan 5 and all everything was working fine but the output of show spanning-tree was really weird in those two switches.
