I am creating a self-study labs with a few 2600 routers. I plan to turn on multicast debug to observe those join/register/prune messages. I believe I can configure a router as "listener" by "ip igmp static-join" but is there any software (which I can install on a PC) to simulate a multicast "source"?
thanks!

You can get a windows receiver and source software at the following URL:

Hope this helps,

Hi Ewang,
The easiest of all is IPERF. You can just downlod the exe file and install on 2 machines and run one on client and one on server and just issue some commands to start multicast traffic.
