I got the following from a show ip mroute mcast-group:

#sh ip mroute 224.0.15.34 count

IP Multicast Statistics

1577 routes using 919202 bytes of memory

705 groups, 1.23 average sources per group

Forwarding Counts: Pkt Count/Pkts(neg(-) = Drops) per second/Avg Pkt Size/Kilobits per second

Other counts: Total/RPF failed/Other drops(OIF-null, rate-limit etc)

Group: 224.0.15.34, Source count: 20, Packets forwarded: 1302, Packets received: 1302

RP-tree: Forwarding: 74/0/30/0, Other: 74/0/0

Source: 172.16.91.5/32, Forwarding: NC/NC/NC/NC, Other: NC/NC/NC

Source: 172.16.91.13/32, Forwarding: NC/NC/NC/NC, Other: NC/NC/NC

Source: 172.16.91.14/32, Forwarding: NC/NC/NC/NC, Other: NC/NC/NC

Source: 172.16.91.4/32, Forwarding: 201/1/30/0, Other: 201/0/0

Source: 172.16.91.6/32, Forwarding: 201/1/30/0, Other: 201/0/0

Does anybody have an idea of what NC/NC/NC stays for ?

Tks

NC means there is no hardware counter availble for that entry

If it is 4k, I think the limit is 1k routes for HW counters.

Thnak you

Raju

How can I verify it ?

IT seems 4 K anyway...

#sh ip mroute 224.0.15.34 active

Active IP Multicast Sources - sending >= 4 kbps

a negative ( - ) Rate counts pps being fast-dropped

Tks

#sh ip mroute 224.0.15.34 count

IP Multicast Statistics

1577 routes using 919202 bytes of memory

It shows that you have more than 1K routes

Thanks

Raju
