Multicast VLAN Registration

Hello All

I have a general question.  I have read that MVR is used in an Ehternet ring-based service provider network.

Can it be used in an Ethernet star based topology?

Hi Jeff,

I have not come across any documents which says it cannot be deployed in a start topology. The only thing you need to make sure that IP multicast routing is disabled for MVR to work properly.

I dont have much experience with MVR so I would let someone who has worked in comment more from their experience.
