Hi All,
When running OTV between two ASR 1k routers at a single site, do you need to enable Spanning Tree on the ASR 1k routers?
I read somewhere that this is the case but wanted to check with folks who have set this up or if anyone from Cisco can advise?
We have a lab environment running where the OTV adjacency is coming up but then tears down once traffic is sent.
Positive the OTV and multicast config is correct including MTU's, site VLAN etc and this is the only thing I can think of.
When we leave one of the ASR's connected OTV is fine.
When we enable the overlay interface on the second ASR we experience the issue.
If anyone has deployed a similar topology would be good to hear your experiences.
Topology is as below and all links between DCs are point to point in a ring:
- DC1 2 x ASR1k (terminates WAN link from DC 1 & 2 on ASR 1 & 2)
- DC2 - 2 x Nexus 7706 (OTV and Agg VDC)
- DC3 2 x Nexus 7706 (OTV and Agg VDC)
Cheers
Malcolm
