multiple 1242AG LAPs stopped working..

I work for our cities local arena. Our network is pretty diverse, with devices getting upgraded incrementally. This has led to a mishmash of different APs and switches. Recently (may 4th) we had an AP go down out of nowhere (AIRLAP-1242AG-A-K9). I replaced it with a newer temporary unit, and have been trying to get it up an going again. Apparently we've had several APs go down recently, all of them 1242ag..

I thought it might be a software upgrade, but our controller (5508) hasn't been down for almost two years.

I tried resetting the AP, but it reboots shortly after going into discovery mode. I'll post  what it's displaying while it boots, but I'm running out of ideas. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi!

You did not post the switch platform where your APs are connected therefore in general I would suggest checking:

- DHCP lease timers.

- PoE availability.

- Drops in the path to the WLC.

Please let mw know if something regarding this three things gave us something abnormal.

Hope it helps, best regards!

JC

Sorry about that, we're using HP Procurve switches. The AP I'm bench testing has a verified link to the controller through a procurve 2920. The AP is being powered by an inline cisco power injector. I believe DHCP leasing shouldn't be an issue as I tested a 1252ag for a few hours the other day on the same connection.
