We have a netapp storage device and we are having intermittent problems with it.

When I look at the ARP cache on our core switch I noticed that the storage guys have created mulitple shares with the different IP address but they all point to the same MAC address

Hi,

Yes - this is OK.

Many server guys use this method when a server with 1 Nic has different roles

1) Web server - ip add a.a.a.a
2) Print server - ip add a.a.a.b
3) shared drive - ip add a.a.a.c

and so on

Regards
Alex
