Multiple switches losing connectivity on only 1 vlan briefly

Not applicable

We have a weird issue where multiple switches are losing connectivity only on the management vlan at different times.  It only happens for less than five minutes and then comes back up.  It is happening on 4510's and 3850's.  Nothing shows up in the logs.  One thing that appears to fix the issue permanently so far is to change the vlan's IP address on the switch.  It seems like every time we install a new switch though this happens to it and we would like to find the root cause.  For example, we have tried replacing an entire 4510 and the issue persisted but changing the vlan IP did fix it.

The same unusual symptom across multiple platforms and codes point more towards a configuration or design issue than anything else. Some initial items for a greater understanding (in no particular order):

  1. Are they all L2 switches, if so are they all configured with default gateways and do any of them inadvertently have "ip routing" enabled?
  2. How many switches are we talking about and what is the general topology? For example, are switches directly connected to a comon distribution, or are switches traversing multiple switches to get to the routed management L3 interface.(Diagram would be helpful)
  3. Are the switches trunked and is the native VLAN the management VLAN?
  4. Is the VLAN root properly defined?
  5. Can you provide a switch config file for a switch and possibly its uplink switch?

Thanks
