Solved: N2K-C2232TM-10GE

Dear all,

I am looking for 10 GE copper 24 ports switch. After any time I come N2K-C2232TM-10GE. However, this switch is fabric extender and it is used with Nexus 5K series switches.

My question is

Can I use this Nexus 2K standalone as other L2 swithes?

24 port of copper 10GigE is kind of a tall order. Most people who require 10Gig don't shy away from stepping up to a slightly larger switch. Your best options are probably the "N3K-C3064TQ-10GT" witch has 48 ports of 10GbaseT and 4 QSFP ports, or the "N5K-C5596T-FA" that comes with 32 ports or 10GbaseT and 16 SFP+ ports, it also has 3 expansion slots and can support fabric extenders if you think you may want that at some point.

No FEXs cannot be used standalone. If you want a standalone switch in a similar class to the Nexus 2K, you should look at the N3K line.

I am looking a switch that has 24 10 GE ports based on 10GBASE-T.

May be, 4900 M but this has 16 ports witch expantion module

i will looking now Nexus 3K.
