I have server with 10GE connection to N2K switch. instead of configure as access port , can I configure as trunk port (dot1q) to carry multiple vlan over to server ?

Most document stated N2k is pure host port , trunk port is not support

But I got customer managed to configure as trunk port which connected to server and it work ?

I am confused.

considering

- the nexus series is aimed at the datacenter

- in datacenters virtualization (VM's ) are widely deployed

It would be strange if the Nexus does not support virtual networks VLAN's (trunk links to a server)

but you do not configure the N2K, you configure the main chassis N5K/N6K or so.

basically not different than other switches, look at this document

Ethernet interfaces can be configured either as access ports or a trunk ports, as follows:

A "host port" means you can't connect the port to another switch but no issue with connecting it to a server, storage, VM, etc.. and trunking it.
