Howdy!
I am trying to do some housekeeping on a N3K by deleting a username that has the network role of network-operator.
My current account has role priv-15. However, when I try to "no username #" the switch responds with:
"% Permission denied for the role"
Thoughts?
Thanks!

Hi,
You are probably trying to delete a default user role which can't be deleted.
You cannot delete the default admin or adminbackup user accountYou cannot remove the default user roles from the default admin or adminbackup user account.
You cannot change the default user roles network-admin, vdc-admin, network-operator, and vdc-operator.

Sadly, I disagree. Neither of my accounts were on the N3K by default.
username netguys password 5 [TRUNCATED] role network-operator
username netguy password 5 [TRUNCATED] role priv-15
N3K(config)# no username netguys
netguy don't have sufficient permission to perform this operation.
N3K(config)#
Running version 7.0(3)I2(2b)

You are logged in with username "netguy" This username does not have the proper permission to do this task.
I tried the same thing on a 6k and was able to delete username "netguys" with no issues.
