N540X

Good morning

I have a cisco N540x switch, that the administrator password is corrupt or unknown

I see several password reset options online but none work.

Can you tell me how to reset my password?

Or in one case it says I need to get to rommon to reset.

That does not work either.

Hi

Do you have this command available:

conf t

system recovery

I cannot login.

No access at all

There is a username prompt but cannot login.

The password is unknown, I need to reset it.

Thank you

Arthur

Do you have any 'show run"  saved? Just to confirm?

I have found a procedure for this device but is start by having this command enable.

Never performed a recovery on that particular model of switch but please review this -

You need to power cycle the switch and attach a console cable to it , re apply the power and then break in the startup via ESC key > and to perform a password recovery
