Hi ,
I have 2 pairs of N5K5 configured as vPC- Bundle.
The vPC Peer-link consists of two 10GE Links in Port-channel 4096, on Po4096 spanning-tree port type network is configured to enable BA (is globally enabled)
Between this 2 bundels we built a vPC 4095 (cosnisting of one 10GE of each N5K5) which is configured with spanning-tree port type normal to disable
BA on the vPC. This workes fine.
Yes we are running MST in our network, just instance 0 with all VLANs in
N5K11--------------vPC Peer Po 4096-------------------N5K12-------Eth1/25---------------C6K5

N5K21---------------vPC Peer Po 4096------------------N5K22-------Eth1/25---------X------C6K5
block
Beside that we have connections to the existing Network. Works fine if we connect it with a singel link , lets say Eth1/25 on N5K22,
as soon as we conect the second on Eth 1/25 on N5K12 the Portchannel 4095 of N5K11/N5K12 is going to
status BLOCK DISPUTE.
I really do not understand why DISPUTE works there. I thought if BA is disabled on a Port, like we did it on Port-channel 4095 there is no DISPUTE-algorithm on this Port.
Does anybody hav an explanation for this behaviour or a solution ?
Thx
Hubert
