Hello everyone!
One of our end customers noticed the following log messages appearing multiple times on his N7K running version 6.0(4):
%MTM-SLOT8-2-MULTICAST_SOURCE_MAC_LEARNT: Inserted dynamically learnt multicast source mac [MAC_ADDRESS] Please execute from switch: clear mac address table dynamic multicast-entries
%L2MCAST-SLOT8-2-L2MCAST_MAC_FULL_LC: Failed to insert entry in MAC table for FE 0 swidx 1 (0x1) with err (mac table full). To avoid possible multicast traffic loss, disable OMF. Use the configuration CLI: "no ip igmp snooping optimise-multicast-flood"
I found very little information about these log messages (only on https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11867911/nexus-7000-error-message and https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11754266/n7k-inserted-dynamically-learnt-multicast-source-mac)
The first link I provided pretty much explains the second log message but I cant find any explanation for the first log message.
I would appreaciate any input you have on these log messages.
Thanks in advance!
Daniel

Have you made any progress on this issue?

I had a similar problem. While investigating for another issue it was found that a SFP on one of the downstream switches connected to the Nexus 7K was faulty and generating errros. Replacing this SFP stopped the generation of these multicast error messages
