Hi everybody,
I have a NAM in a 6509-E chassis with sup720, and always I reset this module it boots with its maintenance image instead of with its application image. The only way I have managed to boot the NAM with application image is with the command "hw-module module <slot> reset hdd:1". But, if I reset it without "hdd:1" argument (by default) or I reload it, the NAM boots again with maintnance image.
What can I do to set application image as the default image?
Thanks in advanced and best regards,
Luis

Hello Luis,
according to documentation the correct way to do it is the one you are already using
To reset the module and boot the NAM in the application image, use the hw-module module slot reset hdd:1 [mem-test-full] command from the Cisco IOS CLI prompt.
see
Be aware that the NAM is a linux appliance so the bootvar might not apply to it.
Hope to help

I hardcoded the hdd:1 into the config of the 6500:
boot device module
Now the default reset command works.
Thanks
