does the unmanageable switches understand VLAN tagging. or we should use a native vlan between a cisco switch and unmanageable swicthe.

Any of unmanageable switch will not understand VLAN tagging. If you want to connect any unmanageable switch in your network then you have two options:
1. make a trunk port and configure one VLAN (which you want to access on an unmanageable switch) as native VLAN.
2. Make this port as access port and assign access VLAN to access port.
