Need suggestion to upgrade IOS

Hi All,

In our environment we have total 18 Access Switches  and one Core Switch 6509 (s72033_rp-IPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.2(18)SXE5, for the core switch i have to upgrade the IOS

All Access  switches are 3750 module with PoE

For ground floor Three switches

1    Model number : WS-C3750-48PS-S   Version ID : V05   IOS : 12.2(25)SEB4 C3750-IPBASE-M

2    Model number : WS-C3750-48PS-S   Version ID : V05   IOS : 12.2(25)SEB4 C3750-IPBASE-M

3   Model number : WS-C3750-48PS-S   Version ID : V10   IOS : 12.2(25)SEB4 C3750-IPBASE-M

And another one is WS-C3750G-48PS-S(connected with fiber to core Switch)

For the First floor we have only one switch

All are in default Vlan with basic configuration

Now my job is to upgrade the IOS and Create the vlan’s , as floor wise ,  my management told me IOS should be Same in all access switches ,

my question is which IOS version     I should upgrade which one is suitable for my devices ,

After upgrading the IOS I have to Create Vlan’s and some do some configurations also

Hi Aman,

122-58 is pretty good, but you should read the release notes to make sure there are no major bugs.  If your switches are stacked, you can use the .tar file to upgrade.  If they are not stacked than you can use .bin file to upgrade.

If you are planning to provide a vlan per floor than you can use the floor number:

example:

1st floor 10

second floor 20

3rd floor 30

and so on.
