If I have redundant SUP V and my netflow is on the "stand-by" sup, is it possible to issue ip route-cache flow command. Here is sh ver and sh mod

You should be able to type the command but I don't think it will show any flows as the active sup (the one processing your packets) doesn't have the netflow card. Do a force switchover if you want to use netflow or just purchase a card for the active sup.

Hi Edison,
Firstly, I can not type the command. I was told by another source that this is because we don't have a netflow card on the redundant (and ACTIVE) sup engine. Can you verify that this is true?
Additionally, in performing a force switch over, will we drop packets? Does this reload the Sup? Where is there a good reference of force switch over? Thanks in advance.....

I don't have the hardware to verify this but I'm pretty sure if the brain of the switch (the active sup) has the feature card, the command should be available.
I highly recommend having the feature card on both Sups, in case the active fails - the NetFlow related commands will be invalid on the redundant Sup.
Additionally, in performing a force switch over, will we drop packets? Does this reload the Sup? Where is there a good reference of force switch over? Thanks in advance.....
Please refer to the documentation:
While packets shouldn't be dropped during the switchover, I recommend doing so during a maintenance window

Hi,
I do beleive that the recommended NetFlow software requirements for the 4510R sup V is IOS 12.2(25)SG or later. Each sup will also need the NetFlow cards for stateful switch over.
