Network Time Protocol Daemon (ntpd) monlist Command Enabled DoS-how to disable

Dear Friends,

After scanning from a third software,I am getting a message "Network Time Protocol Daemon (ntpd) monlist Command Enabled DoS"

I have removed ntp configuration on switches(6500) as a workaround. Still I am getting the same warning once scanned.

Is there anyway to disable or any other solution?

 - Hmm, as far as some stuff is natively build into the OS ; this may be remnant indeed. Check your current software release ; if possible compare the situation with an upgraded (gold-starred or more recent). CISCO has been handling such issues with NTP ; check  the below link for illustrative purposes
