I'm creating a new stack, i set up the first switch with all my vlans and IP routing, updated the SW to 15.2(3) web manager. I added the new switch, it fails to auto update, i run the command archive copy-sw.... as indicated in the console logs, and nothing appears to happen. I see no attempts in the console logs to update the member. Any ideas? That command seems to be the only option really. I'd rather figure this out now so i know it works with future versions. FYI the new switch is the exact model as the "master"

Hi Adrian,
I take it the " boot auto-copy-sw" command is enabled ( it is by default)
a "sh boot" command will tell you if it is or not.
Can you share the output of the log when you add the switch to the stack.

Yes the auto upgrade is on and it tries, then it fails with no specific reason reason really and in the failure logs it suggests the fix is to run the command i did as mentioned. The master switch accepts the command and then nothing happens. I left it for probably 15 minutes and nothing logged to the console so i suspect nothing is happening.

Ok
I suppose the only thing to do is do an "archive download-sw" to the new switch
