New privileged user on C2960 switch

I am using the command username xxxxxx privilege 15 password whateverpassword

I have login local and  transport input ssh on the line vty configs

ip http server

I can't login with exec/password, username/password or anything else from my desktop.  I can login via console cable.

If you are trying to telnet or ssh to the switch via the IP address, first make sure your laptop/pc can ping the switch. Once that is ok, post the output of error you are getting when attempting to telnet or ssh. Your desktop/laptop IP needs to be in the same IP segment as the switch.

can I see config of vty and console 
NOTE:- for vty you must sure that the PC have IP and this IP is in subnet of VLAN the PC connect to SW, and there is inter-vlan if you try to access SW via other vlan (not same VLAN you connect to)

Thank you all. I removed my user from the config and created it using the gui and it worked. I don’t know what the gui did differently but I can now ssh and http to the device. Thanks!
