Nexus 3064 login issue

Hi all

Wonder if someone can provide a solution to my issue.

Received a nexus 3064 that needed to re-configured to swop with another in production.

Console port produces no output at every boot with all speeds set which led me to believe a faulty console port.

Fortunately mgmt0 had an ip on as was able to login.

So I can't or couldn't do write erase reload as I would loose the mgmt0 interface and would leave me completely locked out.

So I wrote the over the startup-config with a new one with only the below config and reload:

 

hostname CA-PARKLAND-SW-01

interface mgmt0
vrf member management
ip address 10.222.226.1/24

I can SSH to device but not accepting the any credentials. admin / admin blank for user and password doesn't work.

Is there a way to recover or login?

Also have the usb port that I could boot from but access the switch to boot from usb.

Is there another way to boot from usb?

 

Appreciate any assistance.

since you do not have console - i go back to TAC for another RMA.

 

but belive device still working and you confirmed.

 

Try below steps :

 

1. Power down completly

2. wait for 5min

3. connect the console cable ( iam sure this cable working else where and good?)

4. follow beloe password recovery
