Just fired up a couple of Nexus 3548 and getting ready to play around with vPC. All I've really done is the initial start up wizard and create a management interface on mgmt0. I've enabled feature lacp and vpc. When I do something as simple as putting an interface in trunk mode, I get this:
xyz-nexus-01# configure t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
ech-nexus-01(config)# interface e1/1
ech-nexus-01(config-if)# switchport mode trunk
^
% Invalid command at '^' marker.
Switchport mode trunk isn't even available. my google searches have failed me, what am I missing? I've reloaded, but it made no difference. I also have a L3 enterprise license installed.
system: version 6.0(2)A6(1)

Are the ports in routed mode by default ? Did you make them a switchport?

I bet that is it:
Port Name Status Vlan Duplex Speed Type
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
Eth1/1 Peer Link to ECH-N connected routed full 10G SFP-H10GB-C
It was one of the questions during the startup wizard.

I had to issue the command "switchport" to the interface. I'm only familiar with catalyst switches. This change should be fun :/
