Nexus 5000 restart issue

Hi 

I have issues when my switch made restart some strange commands came and i can’t write anything and it’s gone for loop

Hi @mr-moon 

Try this if it helps. 

1. Type the command
          loader > dir<press enter>

It will list the image in the directory that you've specified should be the image.
nx-os*.bin is what you're looking for.

2. Type the command
          loader > boot <name of nx-os*.bin file><press enter>
This will load the image and boot the OS.

I tried to write dir but it’s not showing my screen

Is there any response in console? If yes, does it respond in the loader mode or it keeps rebooting? 

If it keeps rebooting, it may be some hardware issue as well. Already it's End-of-Sale. Consider replacing hardware to N9K or something else in a year before N5K goes End-of-support by 2026, as a long term solution.

For a short term solution, raise a Cisco TAC case, they'll check if anything can be done or get it RMA'd.
