Hi There,
Our customer has two Nexus 5548 with L3 daughter cards (N55-D160L3-V2) but the module shows as offline.
The base license is not installed so I think this is the issue.
How do I get a new license pkg documents to apply the licenses to these two Nexus 5K as the document can not be found anywhere.
Thanks,
Alberto

Talk to your Cisco representative.. They can probably help you to get your PAK and license keys, if you bought them.. Normally the base licenses are included with the switch.. Can you please send us the "show license" output ?
Layer 3 Base License
The Layer 3 base license (N55-BAS1K9) is included with the Cisco Nexus 5500 Platform switch. The license provides the following support:
Connected, Static, RIPv2, OSPF (256 Dynamically Learnt Routes), EIGRP-Stub, HSRP, VRRP, IGMPv2/3, PIMv2, RACLs, uRPF
Layer 3 LAN-Enterprise License
The Layer 3 LAN Enterprise license (N55-LAN1K9) includes the following:
•All base license features
•Full EIGRP
•Unrestricted OSPF routes
•BGP
•VRF-Lite

Thanks for replaying,
it does not show anything on the output for "sh license".
and the "sho license usage" all licenses appear as not installed / unused.

sh inv | inc L3
NAME: "Module 3", DESCR: "O2 Daughter Card with L3 ASIC"

Try this:
If you don't have the LAN BASE license listed above you will be hosed, to get a copy just go to www.cisco.com/go/licensing, click on get demo, nexus 5000 and then select LAN Base license, you will see it's a permanent license you can install.
Once you login to licensing page, next to the page where you put your PAKs, there is a drop down box. Choose demo license from that.. and select 5500..
It wiill look like this: | |
