hi all
i have nexus 56128 with all is QSFP port populated.
i need to connect my Nexus 2348TQ to the nexus 56128 via the SFP+ ports but i don't want at that point to wast 4x10G ports.
i want to use FET-40 on the 56128 side and only 1 FET-10 in the nexus 2348TQ side and the connectivity will be done by fiberoptic brakeout cable.
anyone knows if this configuration is available so i will be able to use breakout mode in the FEX side and connect it only through a 1x10G connectivity ?
thanks

Hi,
Yes, you can use the breakout cable for your 10Gig connectivity to FEX . The ports will not be wasted, as you can use the rest of the 10Gig ports for other FEXs or other devices with 10Gig ports.

Hi,
Have a look at table-1 in this link. 2348TQ does not appear to be supported with 5672 and 56128.

hi
the 56128 supported as a parent switch for the nexus 2348TQ,
