Hello All,
We encountered a line card reload during connection tests.
I'm trying to understand what happened.
The technician on side just connected a laptop to a Ethernet port and the line card reloaded.
If I'm not misunderstanding I remenber that if you push simultaneoulsy the buttons located at the bottom left and right of the linecard (picture in file attached) the line card can reload. Is it correct ?. What is the benefits of these buttons ?.
Thanks you for your feedbacks,
Regards,

Hello David,
Those buttons lock the ejector levers into place. You can check the following to see the reason for the line card reload:
show logging onboard module
That will tell you if it was because of the ejector levers or something else.

Hello David,
It is indeed due to the buttons that your card went offline.
When you push both buttons the card is disabled, ready to be removed.
You can check the status of the ejectors by doing "sh module x"
"
Ejector Status:
Left ejector CLOSE, Right ejector CLOSE, Module HW does support ejector based shutdown.
Ejector Status:
Left ejector CLOSE, Right ejector CLOSE, Module HW does support ejector based shutdown.
"
If you don't want the card to go offline when you push both ejectors, apply the command "no hardware ejector enable".
Best Regards,
Joris
