Nexus 7000 N7K-F248XT-25E module support 100M bps speed ?

Hello all,

Can anyone tell me that Nexus 7000 N7K-F248XT-25E module support 100M bps speed ?

From the datasheet I don't find the answer, and as I know the standard 10G base T should support 100M bps connection.

What I see when I connect to the 100M bps port will see the port hardware capability issue.

Thanks a lot.

N7K-F248XT-25E will only support 1Gbps or 10 Gbps.

Dear Leo,

Thanks for your reply. If so, I think whaat I can do is to connect a L2 switch between our Nexus 7000 and those 100Mbps equipment.

But what are you going to achieve with that...your max speed would be 10Gbps...

Dear InayathUlla

Because some of our network equipments are only support 100M bps, and if N7K-F248XT-25E does not support 100M bps, then I have to prepare for a L2 switch with 10/100/1000 Mbps so that those equipment can connect to L2 switch first and then connect to N7K.

I know lots of 10G base-T switch can downgrade to conenct 100M bps, and I don't know F2e only support 1/10G and I don't want to connect to M1 module, so I don't buy the M1 10/100/1000 module to connect our 100Mbps equipment.

Thanks.

then I have to prepare for a L2 switch with 10/100/1000 Mbps so that those equipment can connect to L2 switch first and then connect to N7K.

Uhhhhh ... That's a bit dumb, ain't it?  Particularly when you've got a very expensive Nexus 7K.

If 100 Mbps is what you need then why not look for a Nexus 2K which can support 100 Mbps copper?  More specifically, Nexus 2300 comes in 32- or 48 ports density and they support 100 Mbps, 1- or 10 Gbps.    The main problem you'll need to consider is whether or not the Nexus 7K is running the right firmware to support Nexus 2300.

Actually is not that Dumb, some of the very new and expensive equipment (APC UPS's) only support 100Mbps Ethernet ports.  Stupid of the manufacturer to not support 1G but not the fault of the engineer that, that's what they have to work with who may not have had a choice in what was provided.
