nexus 7000 no route to host?

configured nexus 7000 module f1 to connect to my router, but i keep getting a 'no route to host' error. does this have something to do with the l3 and l2 features on the nexus? I initially allowed for my nexus to be l3 during the setup, if that's the problem how do I change it to layer 2?

What is the command you issue that causes this error (no route to host)?

ping 8.8.8.8 or ping anything. I can't ping my own gateway, I can't ping the management port I have configured, even though I can ping my management port internally and can ssh into it.

We do not have much information to work with here. But based on what we are told so far I will guess that the issue is that the Nexus has been configured with VRFs. In that case you must add the vrf parameter to the ping command ping 8.8.8.8 vrf   <name>

I don't recall configuring any VRFs, but I did "show vrf" and there was a default and management. I then tried the 'ping 8.8.8.8 vrf management' and 'ping 8.8.8.8 vrf default' commands and they still showed the same output which is: "64 chars, No route to host."

I have F1 as my module 1 with the port eth 1/25 connected my router that everything else in my network is connected to.

I configured eth 1/25 port with the commands:

speed 1000

no shut

I don't know what else is missing for me to be able to ping my gateway.

Would you post the output of the command show ip route vrf all
