Hi Hubert,

I'm able to rename my VDC in my lab.  I'm currently running 5.2.3a:

pdi-N7K-DC1-CORE-1# switchto vdc pdi

pdi-N7K-DC1-CORE-1   pdi-N7K-DC1-EDGE-1   pdi-N7K-DC2-CORE-1   pdi-N7K-DC2-EDGE-1

pdi-N7K-DC1-CORE-1# switchto vdc pdi-N7K-DC2

pdi-N7K-DC2-CORE-1   pdi-N7K-DC2-EDGE-1

pdi-N7K-DC1-CORE-1# switchto vdc pdi-N7K-DC2-cORE-1

pdi-N7K-DC2-CORE-1# conf t

Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CNTL/Z.

pdi-N7K-DC2-CORE-1(config)# hostname test

test(config)# exit

test# switchback

pdi-N7K-DC1-CORE-1# show vdc

vdc_id  vdc_name                          state               mac                 type        lc

------  --------                          -----               ----------          ---------   ------

1       pdi-N7K-DC1-CORE-1                active              f0:25:72:a5:05:41   Ethernet    m1 f1 m1xl

2       pdi-N7K-DC1-EDGE-1                active              f0:25:72:a5:05:42   Ethernet    m1 f1 m1xl

3       pdi-N7K-DC2-EDGE-1                active              f0:25:72:a5:05:43   Ethernet    m1 f1 m1xl

4       test                              active              f0:25:72:a5:05:44   Ethernet    m1 f1 m1xl

I assume this also works in the latest 6.0 code as well.  If not let me know.

Chad
