Hello everyone,
Here is my issue. We have a Nexus 7010 and for the third time now slot 3 will not allow a module to run in it. This is what we have done so far. RMA'd the module and the chassis. When the module is put into another slot it comes up without any issue. The only difference between this chassis and the other one we have is that we only have 2 of the 3 power supplies in it. The chassis itself has 2 sup mods and 3 48 port 10 gig mods. On a side note after we RMA'd the chassis slot 3 worked fine until we configured the new VDC and allocated the card to it. Any help will be appreciated.

Do you still have the issue with the slot3?
By reading the query after the replacment of the chasis the module 3 is getting detected.
so let us know if you still having th eissue if yes could you please capture the output of :

Hello,
I just wanted to check if there's a solution for this issue while avoiding an RMA. We have a F3 card), and it's exhibiting the same problem described above. The card works perfectly in slot 4.
The problem is, we have the small chassis (7004) and the Fabric modules are fixed with the chassis. As per Cisco TAC, the chassis has to be replaced, but I was hoping we can avoid a replacement.
Thanks.

To fix it I would go with TAC is telling you, unfortunately. If you are looking to mitigate the issue you may be able to power off that fabric module until the replacement can be put in. Sorry for the bad news.
