I need to know how to secure the VTY ports on a Nexus 7010. I now there are exec-timeouts but are you allowed to apply ACL's to the VTY ports?
Thanks,
John

You can't use acls on vty lines on the Nexus so the recommended way to do it is to use CoPP (Control Plane Policing). See this link for details -

Jon,
Thanks man for the information I actually found that document late last night and also noticed that you can also set up ssh user accounts and then turn the switch to an ssh server by generating keys. I am going to look at both solutions and see which work best. Thanks for your help.
