Hi Guys,
We are having 2 Nexus 7ks and they are connected to each other using port channel
The configs shown below for both nexus switch
interface port-channel1
description vPC Peer-Link to ATL-NX7K01
switchport mode trunk
spanning-tree port type normal
mtu 9216
interface port-channel25
description NON-vPC Trunk to ATL-NX7K01
shutdown
switchport mode trunk
switchport trunk allowed vlan 104,107,217,253
spanning-tree port type network
interface port-channel1
description vPC Peer-Link to ATL-NX7K02
switchport mode trunk
spanning-tree port type normal
mtu 9216
interface port-channel25
description NON-vPC Trunk to ATL-NX7K02
shutdown
switchport mode trunk
switchport trunk allowed vlan 104,107,217,253
spanning-tree port type network
Port channel 25 is shutdown and Port channel 1 is being used now. It seems to me that we are not leveraging VPC on these switches. Can i install the VPC feature without causing any disruption in the production traffic. Seems like the previous engineer has disable the VPC feature may be for allowing non VPC traffic through the Peer link and never enabled it. Spoke to manager that we are no longer using non VPC vlan.
I am assuming that If I configure VPC the network type is converted to type network and bridge assurance will be in affect.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
