hello,
i see error on FEX FAN:
show environment fex 125 fan Fan Fex : 125: ------------------------------------------------------ Fan Model Hw Status ------------------------------------------------------ Chassis N2K-C2232-FAN -- failure PS-1 N2200-PAC-400W -- ok PS-2 N2200-PAC-400W -- ok
but the temperatures are quite good, and no difference to other FEX with FAN status ok:
show environment fex 125 temperature Temperature Fex 125: -------------------------------------------------------------------- Module Sensor MajorThresh MinorThres CurTemp Status (Celsius) (Celsius) (Celsius) -------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 Outlet-1 71 50 35 ok 1 Inlet-1 70 55 31 ok 1 Die-1 92 75 44 ok
I guess one of the FANs on the module is failed. What do you think - it's save to live with this ? O it's better to change it ?
Thanks

Change fan is good approach here ....make sure you do replacement in maintenance window.
I saw when i was replacing one of the fan, when the kit Live, due to Fan Failed, when i remove the fan to replace. the FEX went down if you could able to replace with in 10-15 second. but my suggestion to replace by shutdown.

- Since you are not seeing temperature issues could be this bug :

thanks, but the version is little different:
NXOS: version 7.0(3)I4(7)
also, there are no multiple FAN errors on other FEXes. Just the one mentioned. Im thinking of trying to restart the fex at first. And look how it goes. Not sure actually if anything need to be done - if the temperatures are still OK..
Maybe i will go to the DC with the flash to see if one of the fans are not working:)

Instead soft restart, Turn off hard power of leave for 10min and turn on see if you get optimum results before you replace the FAN
