I've have rebuilt several 2960 series switches by either erasing or formatting the flash and then reloading a new image. I have a 24 port 2960X-PSL that refuses to allow me to type or at least display any output (with the exception of initial boot output). Now I have a switch that I can't reimage and configure. I currently use ZOC terminal and have tried HyperTerminal to no avail. I changed the baud rate from 9600 to 115200 so the file transfer can happen quicker. Hitting enter or any keys does nothing. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

Try testing with Putty. Its free.

Even if putty works and I get output, I don't see an option to transfer a file via xmodem.

Reza,
I was able to get this to work. It was a serial setting for hardware that I had to set to off. Not sure how/why this was changed. All seems to be working now.
