no switchport in 3750-x

Hi guys,

I have 3750-x switch with (c3750e-universalk9-mz.122-55.SE5.bin)

no switchport command did not work(command rejected not allowed on this interface)

to assign IP to the interface

should Iupgrade the IOS and what is the image name that I need

or its license issue

your help is highly appreciated

Are you running the LAN Base license? There you can only configure SVIs and no routed ports. For routed ports, the "ip base" license is needed.

yes its LAN Base license 

and I will use OSPF is it covered with ip base license  or ip services?

If you are planning to run full OSPF, you need IP Services license, as IP Base has some protocol limitations.
