Hello,
One of our 6506 was giving below error:
Rommon NVRAM area is corrupted. Initialize the area to default values
Cat6k-Sup720/RP platform with Kbytes of main memory
after repeated issue of boot statements , the switch came up fully loaded.
on the sh ver output , i see following outputs:
"Patching is not available since the system is not running from an installed image. To install please use the "install file" command" , what does this imply and how to get rid of this , if its a problem.
However, supervisor 2 on slot 6 showed as unknown in status.
with this no configuration change could be done.following was the error for supervisor:
%ONLINE-SP-6-TIMER: Module 6, Proc. 0. Failed to bring online because of timer event
%OIR-SP-3-PWRCYCLE: Card in module 6, is being power-cycled (Slot disabled)
Peer (slot: unavailable) information is not available because it is in 'DISABLED' state
i have following doubts and seek help from experts to understand this,
1. the switch only came up after issuing boot command on the 14th attempt or so. what prompts it to behave so weird?
2. what is causing the second supervisor not to come up.
thanks
