NX-OS behaviour on trunk...

Hi,

On normal IOS devices, when trunk is configured between two switches, i think all vlans are allowed by default on that trunk.

if i want to allow/ deny specific vlans then i configur 'switchport trunk allowed vlan 1,5'...etc so vlans not mentioned are not allowed.

Q.1. What is the nature of NX-OS i.e. Nexus devices..

many ones told that on NX-OS devices, all vlans are by default not allowed, you need to allow specific ones, is it??

means even you configured trunk link, nothing will pass, its mandatory to allow vlans??

if i want to allow all vlans, in that command didn't find option for all vlans, very tedious job to mentioned all vlans.

Q.2. also i want to ask what does this command do ?? exactly..

i will not communicate with the not allowed vlans or denied arp query only.. if arp query for that vlan is denied means communication will not happen is it right??

Q.3. can you please provide me some documents which tell me the where or in which features Nexus or NX-OS devices behaves differently than IOS one.?? please..
