Hi,
I am looking for End of Support information for 3850 series switches and was able to find the EOS date on the product support page: Cisco Catalyst 3850 Series Switches - Cisco
However, based on the latest official notice here: End-of-Sale and End-of-Life Announcement for the Cisco Catalyst 3850 Series Switches - Cisco, there is no EOS date and the End of Sale in this announcement does not match the End of Sale date on the product support page.
Would appreciate someone's assistance in helping me find the official notices of EOS and EOL, or can I take the EOS and EOL date on the support page shared above to be the latest?
Thank you.

Hi
Looks like End of Support == October 31, 2025

Hi Alex,
Thank you for the response, it indeed says October 31, 2025 for EOS in the announcement. However, may I ask why on the product support page here it is stated as April 30, 2027: Cisco Catalyst 3850 Series Switches - Cisco
Thank you.
Regards, Aidan

Yes, it's a very useful tool for checking support coverage and EOS/EOL announcements. You have to be patient with it... sometimes it doesn't provide an answer and you have to retry once or twice.

I found this discrepancy as well. From my findings, it looks like the C3850 copper switches are no longer supported after 31 Oct, 2025. However, the fiber models are supported until 2027.

Hi All,
I have a doubth regarding some specific 3850 switch models that i cannot find in the EOL anoucements - WS-C3850-24S-S and WS-C3850-24S-E.
I have also checked on https://cway.cisco.com/sncheck/ but for these i can see a column where it is mentioned that it is covered until 2027-04-30 but i am confused as i cannot find the associated EOL anouncement.
Thanks,
Razvan

Hi @razvan-despa ,
The tool https://cway.cisco.com/sncheck/ is correct - Last Date of Support HW is 2027-04-30.
I'm not sure why the EOL announcement doesn't include the models you indicated - maybe an omission on Cisco's part.
Take a look at this document https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/catalyst-3850-series-switches/eos-eol-notice-c51-2438804.html in which you will find that both part numbers you inquired are indeed EOL/EOS.
