I have an old Cisco CHS 435hdc set top box with DVR. I still have some recorded shows on the local drive. When I plug a HDMI cable going from STB to the TV it does send a signal through the HDMI but it says "Verizon" logo then...... "Issue or no video signal on your setup box, please check coaxial" or something along those lines. I do not have Verizon cable subscription anymore so of course there's no live signal with cable shows going from the coaxial. Is there a way to bypass this and go straight into the hardrive/recorded shows that I have saved locally ? I'm thinking maybe Verizon did this on purpose so people can't see old recorded shows on their local drive they saved unless they are STILL a subscriber? Is there a better LABEL of forum to post this under?
