We have a stack of four C9200-48P switches. The last two times the stack rebooted, switch one in the stack came up in rommon mode. Consoling to that stack member and issuing the "boot" command caused it to load the IOS and config and it subsequently works normally. Any idea what could cause this behavior? All four switches are identical and running the same code:
Switch Ports Model SW Version SW Image Mode
------ ----- ----- ---------- ---------- ----
1 56 C9200-48P 16.11.1 CAT9K_LITE_IOSXE INSTALL
2 56 C9200-48P 16.11.1 CAT9K_LITE_IOSXE INSTALL
3 56 C9200-48P 16.11.1 CAT9K_LITE_IOSXE INSTALL
* 4 56 C9200-48P 16.11.1 CAT9K_LITE_IOSXE INSTALL
The config register is at the default value of "0x102" in the "sh ver" output.
the "sh bootlog switch x R0" output is virtually identical for all 4 stack members, and none of the four bootlogs show any suspicious errors.
Any idea what could cause this?
Thanks,
