OneX converter for XenPak?

I'd like to convert my XenPak ports in a 4 port 6509 blade to SFP+

Will the ONeX converter work for this purpose?   Or is it only for X2's?   Is there really a big difference?

Converter part is CVR-X2-SFP10G=

Blade part is WS-X6704-10GE

If the converter works... will a 10M SFP cable work with this converter?  (in the data sheet it only lists up to 5M but it could be old...

OneX is only for X2.

Y'know you could get fibre optic cable with "SC" in one end and "LC" in the other (it's called SC-LC).
