                   Hi,

With cost command ' ip ospf cost X '  on interface, it will affect all the network subnet's cost comming via that interface.

So, is there any way that we can change the cost of selected network subnet in OSPF ?

Pls ask is any more information needed....

Waiting for the responce.

Regards,

Kunal

While some routing protocols such as EIGRP or RIP do allow you to manipulate the metric for particular routes this is not possible in OSPF. This derives from the principles of Link State Protocols which use Link State Updates to create a topology map of the network. To be able to draw the map accurately all the routers within the area must have the same topology information. This results in the fact that you can not change the metric for a particular route in the routing table.
