I have set up an out of band vlan to control some otherwise routed devices.
I had some questions and would like to find a good book on security. Do you have a favorite? Also interested in IPv6.
I ran my vlan from a central switch, where I just took some of the ports to use for the management vlan. This vlan has a vacl to permit only itself and a couple of hosts. It works. I trunked it so that I only had to create the vlan once on the VTP server. I think that I should have used all transparrent VTP. I really need to see an "official" example. I hate to reinvent the wheel. thx
