Hi,
I have noticed that most of the ports has value in OutDiscard fields after typing "sh interfaces counters errors " (I attach the completed file, with sh run,and sh cdp nei )
there are IP phones connected, in most of the ports.
I would like to know if this type of error can affect the link performance for end users.

hi,
outdiscards are generally because of we are sending traffic more than the queue can hold.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps700/products_tech_note09186a008015bfd6.shtml
1. do we have a pc connected to the phone? if so can we try using only phones and check
2. also we need to check if we are dropping voice traffic, if voice packets are dropped then we might see some performance issue with the phone
3. do we have auto-negotiation of speed on the port?
4. sh mls qos int <> statistics should tell you which packets are getting dropped.

I'm seeing the same in almost all switches of different types, inlcuding 3560 in a cleint's network.
Just do "show int summary" and you see Output Queue Drops about the same number for each port.
This has been goign on for months and apparently no real traffic is being dropped.
See my post at

I'm thinking broadcast storms, but no explanation found so far.
