Packetloss every 9 minutes 30 seconds

Hello.

Have anyone had issues with packetloss every 9 minutes 30 seconds?  Lasts about 10 seconds. Can be ok for a few hours and then it happens again.

I figure it must be a spanning tree issue, but I can not make any sense of it.

Example is:

Asr9001, subinterface l3

           |

Cisco 7600 (rstp root)

          |

mpls/vpls cloud

          |

Cisco 3560 Svi interface (ieee)

Have worked fine for months, and suddenly starts behaving like this. I have seen it on other vlans, but then I have found some other solution to it.

Hello,

are you able to identify the device where the packet loss occurs ? What is the uptime of your devices ?

Might also be worth checking no new polling has been configured recently for any of the devices in the path. I’ve had a previous issue where SolarWinds was configured to poll an ASA (can’t remember what it was polling ) and each time the ASA was polled the CPU of the ASA would go through the roof and cause packet loss.

once we figured this out (checking the logs around time off outage for snmp connections etc) we stopped the polling and issue went away.
